The core problem: 98% of GC AI's search traffic comes from people who already know the brand. Almost nobody finds GC AI through searches like "AI for in-house counsel," "legal AI tools," or "AI contract review." Those are the searches where new customers start. Every piece of content we publish targets these non-branded keywords.
Note: Harvey (54,595/mo) and AI Lawyer Pro (42,506/mo) have higher total traffic, but neither is the right benchmark. Harvey's traffic is 76% branded from PR and is declining 12%. AI Lawyer Pro targets consumers, not enterprise. Spellbook is the benchmark because they grew through content strategy, which is what we are building.

Our keyword research identified 251 keyword clusters representing 159,790 monthly US searches that GC.AI could rank for. Today, GC.AI ranks for only 10 of those 251 clusters. The remaining 241 are net-new opportunities.
The in-house counsel category (4,940 monthly searches across 17 clusters) has particularly low competition. The standout is "in-house legal software" at 1,150 searches/month with a KD of 0.5 and a $75 Google Ads CPC, the highest buyer intent keyword in our entire dataset.
